圖書館資訊

Ying Wa College, the ILES Library, endeavours to support teaching and learning by providing an environment conducive to studying and offering seamless access to the diverse, up-to-date, and high quality resources. 

The library strives to deliver effective sevices and encourage active use of the space, collections and services critical to the success of students and the College to create a strong reading ambience.

7:50 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday)


*The lending, printing, and computer services will come to an end at 4:50 pm.*

**All library materials can be renewed ONCE on condition that there is no one requesting for the same item.

** Overdue items are not renewable.

-  Borrowers must replace a damaged or lost item loan to him.

-  The subject of overdue payment is align with the practice of the public library.

** Students with unsettled obligations (overdue fines or books not return) cannot borrow another book until said obligation is being settled.


Lost Book

Lost book(s) must be reported immediately to any library staff to avoid accumlated fine. A lost book must either be replaced with the same author and title or paid according to its value. 


Library Regulation 


User Conduct 

1. No games of any formare allowed in the Library. Silence must be observed at all times.

2. Mobile phones,pagers, portable media players, electronic dictionaries are for bidden in the Library.

3. Food and drink must not be brought into the Library. Eating or sleeping is not allowed.

4. Tables and chairsmay not be moved to other locations.

5. Mutilation or theft of library materials is a serious offense. A borrower shall, before leaving the library, ensure that any library material issued to him on loan is complete and undamaged.

6. Students must comply with the directions given by the library prefects.

7. Students who come to the library for private study within class periods must register in the register book.



Self-Access Centre – Rules for Using the Computers

1. Only one user is allowed on each computer. If students need to work together or conduct anygroup discussions, please use the computer rooms.

2. There is a uniform 30-minute time limit per login. If there are other students waiting, seats must be given to them. If not, users can continue.

3. Computers are meantto be used for study purposes, including homework, online learning, organizing school activities or using library resources such as CDs/ DVDs or software.When using programs that produce sounds, headphones must be used. Users can either bring along their own headphones or borrow a set from the library counter.

4. Students should use the computers properly for learning. Websites which are not related to learning, for example, games, social networking websites (e.g. Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram),forums, comics, indecent or gambling sites, should not be accessed.

6. Breach of the above rule will result in a warning. Offenders will need to log out of the computers at once. Moreover, the offenders will have to show their student cards to the prefect or staff member in charge, whereupon their student ID information (and the information of the one who signed in) will be recorded for further action.

7. Failure to comply with the above rule twice or three times will result in being banned from using library computers for two weeks. Records of offence will be given to the Discipline Committee for punishment.

8.Further offences (fourth warnings) will result in a permanent ban until further notice.
